With the seventh pick in the 2024 NBA draft, the Portland Trail Blazers selected UConn big man Donovan Clingan to anchor their frontcourt.
The 7-foot-2 Clingan is a two-time national champion with the Huskies, and now he's NBA bound.
Here's what to know about the center:
Donovan Clingan scouting report
Clingan really improved his draft position as UConn won its second consecutive title. A strong big man with capable hands who is tough to defend in the low post; a worker on the glass, especially offensively and can operate in pick-and-rolls as the screener going to the basket. Has rim protecting skills. Playing away from the basket on both ends will be his challenge in the NBA. — Jeff Zillgitt
Donovan Clingan stats
Across 35 games for the Huskies in the 2023-24 season, Clingan averaged 13.0 points per game (63.9% from the field) with 7.4 rebounds per game and 2.5 blocks per game.
Donovan Clingan height, weight
The 20-year-old Clingan stands at 7-foot-2 and weighs in at 282 lbs.
